the half that has and the other

Two unequals sitting
      together,
talking amiably about what it is
that makes one half have and the other not –
this is where imagination cedes ground
to unreason –
so pitch perfect you are in a hurry to call it love

When you push civil liberties far enough even the rich fall off the chart. Otherwise it’s the lower income groups being affected. Really interesting, and it explains some of the first world reactions about rights and the fear it brings to the surface of those with resources. Interesting too how family inequality bumps the rich up.

By overstepping boundaries (visual analysis, poetry) I am aiming for insights that can come about only by the mingling of categories. The thrust of my visuals so far has been mostly analytical with the words simply being there, not saying much. Hopefully in time, they find their voice. Thanks again for your thoughtful feedback.
