    think first of who (if anyone) will read it— !!! whether of hope or ruin, the poet must write without that thought or if that’s not possible -keep hoping until both poem and poet are ruined!!!! interesting!

      “if anyone!” – could’ve been the title if Suárez’s poem struck your fancy enough for a retake (unlikely though)… when Suárez wrote the poem, it was a different time. Today, she might as well have been selling derivatives or chicken tikkas: wouldn’t have made a difference either way.

        Chicken tikkas I understand. Derivatives and poetry readers (if any) are other matters entirely! But as long the muse lasts, let us write for writing’s sake, if nothing (and no one) else!
